Mary Hare, National Grammar School for the Deaf

Mary Hare is the UK's national grammar school for the deaf. It also plays a central role in many other activities for deaf children and adults.

There are parts of the organization which deliver training, operate a conference venue, conduct research and development into hearing aids, arrange events, and perform fundraising activities.

The website encompasses all of these varied activities, and careful visual design has made the site capable of projecting this range of things while still enabling an interested parent to find the basic school-related information quickly.

Mary Hare uses Tribiq CMS to power the site, and this makes it easy for administrators to keep content fresh. Our CMS also helps make pages well optimized for search engines.

The various activities are grouped in to "microsites", and each one has a specific URL for a given topic area.

Mary Hare staff have been delighted with the site, not only with its appearance and manageability but also with its growing search engine performance.

websites in education

Schools, colleges and other educational establishments have particular needs in their websites, which are not always the same as for commercial operations. Cost is usually a priority.

Staff within the educational establishment usually have the skills to prepare high quality content material, and are keen to save on costs by adding and maintaining content in-house.

For some schools it is important to have an online donations system, as well as "microsite" areas that describe important but non-core activities.
