Reading is one the UK's most energetic and expanding towns, situated close to London and major road and rail routes. It has two universities and is a hub for national and international businesses.

Constituted originally in 2006 as one of the first Community Interest Companies (CIC) in England, Reading UK CIC reconfigured into an Economic Development Company in 2007 and is part of the government’s EDC Network.

Its purpose is to promote and sustain the economic development of Reading to achieve sustainable prosperity for those that live, work, play, visit, do business and invest in the area.

Reading UK CIC selected Tribiq to design and build its new website. We designed the new site in-house, with different areas for Living, Visiting, Shopping, and Investing in Reading.

These areas reflect the different audiences who will use the site for information.

The staff of Reading UK CIC are trained in the use of Tribiq CMS on the website, so that they can quickly enter content onto the site in the right place.

There is a strong visual element, so the site contains videos, maps and images of the town.

A Store Locator is also under construction on the site, which will help shoppers quickly browse and search for stores in the town centre. The Store Locator includes both business sector and by-name searching, and is supported by Google Maps which display results.
